What this is and who runs it
The PCC Alumni Platform is a closed community for the graduates of Philopateer Christian College, and for staff and friends of the school. Philopateer Christian College (the school, we, us) runs it. AZDEVS built it and maintains it for the school.
By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Who can join
The platform is for PCC graduates. Staff and friends of the school can join by invitation. The school approves every account: an invitation, a registration the school reviews, or a sign-up at one of the school's own events or meetings.
If you are under 18, we need your parent or guardian's consent in writing before your account is approved. We will ask for it.
Your account
- Give us accurate details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else knows it, change it, and tell us.
- One person, one account. Please do not share an account or make a second one.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
How we moderate
Memories are read by the school before they appear on the Memory Wall. The school may edit, hide or remove content, and may suspend an account, when something does not fit these terms or the guidelines, or when we believe it is needed to keep the community safe.
If you would like to ask about a decision, contact the school (see Contact below). A person at the school will look at it again and answer you.
Mentorship and connections
Members get in touch through connection requests, and through mentorship introductions that the school arranges. The platform has no private messages.
Advice, opportunities and anything else that passes between members is between those members. The school does not check it and does not guarantee any outcome, including a job, a placement or the quality of advice.
Events
The platform lets you say whether you are coming to a school event and check in when you arrive. Details of each event, including the time, the place and any limit on places, are set by the school and may change. We will tell you if one does.
Gifts
The platform links to the school's own gift page. It does not take payments or store payment details. Any gift you make is made through that page, under its own terms.
Links to other sites
The platform links to other websites, including the school's. We do not run them and are not responsible for what is on them or how they handle your information.
Keeping the platform running
We aim to keep the platform running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change it, pause it or close it, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
Ending your account
You can ask to leave at any time by contacting the school. We will delete your account as described in the privacy policy.
The school can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines. Where we can, we will tell you why.
No warranty, and limits of liability
The platform is offered as it is, without promises about it beyond those these terms make. To the extent the law allows, the school and AZDEVS are not liable for losses that arise from using the platform, or from not being able to use it, or from what other members post or do.
Nothing in these terms limits any right that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ontario law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and add a line to its history. When a change matters to how you use the platform, we will also tell members by email before it takes effect. Using the platform after that means you accept the new terms.
